  1. What was the role of the USA in world affairs in 1929?

The role of the USA in the world affairs in 1929 became more and more complicated after America adopted a policy of isolationist after WW1 as they didn't want to get involved in any-more costly wars. But after WW1 the USA eventually got involved in WW2 after being attacked by the Japanese in 1941 which was after the date 1929. This shows that before they got involved in any wars there role in the world affairs was not big and they chose to sit back due to taking a policy of isolationist. Even though America didn't look important they had the last stone which stop them completing the ledge of nations which meant the Americans were never part of it. Another thing which showed America had involvement in the world affairs was that they chose to lend money to Germany which meant they were able to increase international trade and then gained power and money which made them stronger. Over all the USA had a massive role in the world affairs as they helped and supported Germany and also had the last stone to complete the ledge of nations which they refused to give up.

  2. The role of the USA in world affairs in 1929 was a policy of isolationism so they created a league of nations which is Great Britain russia USA and france would agree to help each other out in war situations but america didnt want to be apart of wars but they were a very rich country so they gave they other countries money to build work places and big buildings so that the other countries could have more employees and have more money that was there role in 1929

  3. The USA moved away from isolationism because could not afford to turn its back on the rest of the world. This is shown in source A, where the keystone to the bridge of the League of Nations is shown to be the USA, a bridge that without the keystone will fail and crumble. The USA believed that keeping out of world affairs would protect them from an unnecessary conflict in Europe. However, because the USA didn’t help the League of Nations with problems in Manchuria and Abyssinia, when it was one of the few countries that could’ve done anything, the axis powers were allowed to become stronger and stronger until eventually the Japanese empire decided to bomb the US naval base of Pearl Harbour in a surprise attack. Source B also tells us that the scientist’s working on the Manhattan project had perfected the world’s first nuclear bomb when Harry Truman was elected president. After the bomb was dropped, the USA couldn’t afford to return to its policy of isolationism, because the risk of questions and conspiracy theories would become too high a risk.

The berlin blockade was one of the first main crisis' in the Cold War. The Berlin airlift went on for 11 months. (24 June 1948 – 12 May 1949) The Eastern side of Berlin, which was controlled by the soviet union (USSR) where scared that there policy of communism would fail completely if Eastern Berlin citizens escaped to Western Berlin. President Krushchev decided to build a wall. Which prevented people from escaping East Berlin. Krushchev also decided to starve out the Eastern Berlin citizens to prevent communism to fail. America decided to send over English and American planes which took off from RAF stations all over England. America sent over food, shelter, coal, water and important life sources to the Eastern Berlin citizens, to improve there life conditions and to forward the idea of capatalism to people.

The events which happened in the Berlin blockade was the first major international crises of the cold war and was the first resulting in casualties. And when the Eastern of Germany did the Berlin Blockade, The Western allies responded by the Berlin airlift and this is when they flew over thousands of planes too get supplies such as Water, materials, food, coal, medical supplies and many more supplies for the Western side of Germany. The aim of the Berlin Blockade was too stop people getting out of the East side of Germany because if they did then communism would had failed. 6. What was the role of the USA in world affairs in 1929?
The role of the USA played in world affairs was isolationism because the Us decided after WW1 that they wanted to stay out of world affairs to avoid being spied on by other countries. Also they believed by being isolationist they would avoid the conflicts in Europe, Manchuria and Abyssinia although the US was still shipping out supplies and resources to other countries such as Japan that was invading Manchuria, by the US staying out of the wars the US allowed in effect the axis powers to sieze control of most of Europe and Manchuria.
